Enemy Forces
Enemy Forces will be in large numbers. Multiple Flak88 gun batteries, small caliber flak guns, as well as many Panzer 3's and 4's. Czech tanks will also be here.
We know that the enemy can easily destroy us with their flak guns, and that the enemy has more tanks then we do. However, the Matilda is still a tough tank and their flak guns are tied down to stationary positions. If they leave their flak guns unguarded, they will be destroyed by our smaller, faster tanks.
We expect the enemy to deploy and guard their flak guns. We are worried about a enemy counter attack from our south, or urban fighting which could slow down our Matilda's. Large enemy force concentrations expected in the city.
The most dangerous course of action would be a massed panzer counter attack, which could lose us the initiative, especially if a mobile defense is kept in the city.
Friendly Forces
Our intent is to push in and cease the city, as well as the small village to the north of the map.
Massed enemy tanks could slow us down, if used with speed, and could possibly destroy our northern flanking attack, giving the 101st the ability to focus on our Matilda's when they come out of the city.
We plan to attack the city with our Matilda's while our cruisers push north, and scout the enemy forces o the North. After the Matilda's secure the city, some will wait at the edge, to defend their southern flank, while others will go to the north and capture the village there.
Elements of the 7th DR will be mixed into our Matilda force.
Mission
Our mission is to counter attack and relive pressure in our boys in Arras, take back as much ground as possible, and disrupt their advance. We must secure at least the major city and one village to force the Germans to pull back.
To gain extra reinforcements (respawns), we must take the East edge of the city, where our spawn points lie. For each junction we seize, Jerry loses a respawn!
We must delay their push for Dunkirk, and stop the encirclement of the BEF.
Execution
Our first strike will be with both 7th DR and AF Matilda forces, to strike and seize the allied supply points, and from there secure the city. They will then push north, while some hold our flanks. We must keep the Germans off their toes, and move as fast as possible. A counter attack cannot reform. The city is the center of gravity for our attack, where the most fighting will take place, but our cruisers are critical if we are to exploit our victory as well as tie the enemy up. They will destroy any counter attacks coming from the north. We want to have the north flank firmly in our hand at the end of this battle.
Cruisers will move to north DZ, and then flank north, and come down rapidly onto our foes. Matilda's will push through city, south side handled by 7th DR, north side by Allied Forces. AF will take north and seize the village, while the 7th hods our flanks and defeats all possible enemy counter attacks. This is critical. They cannot encircle our forces.
Logistics
We will have 1 respawn if we seize our deployment zones. Our vehicle roster is:
8 Matilda's
4 Cruiser MKIV's
4 Hurricane Fighters
Comms
Strict radio discipline for all AF men, and AF to 7th comms. Squadron to squadron comms will follow this format:
[target][speaker][message][over/out]
Platoons will use whisper to communicate, with the Allied Squad Leader Server Group. Please have whisper set up as the following (All officers).
Note: This tone sounds like I am giving orders. I am, as it's directed towards my men. This is copy pasted from our forum, and is our sit rep. I would like to formally request your assistance with what we have ordered. We are looking forward to fighting with you. Any questions or criticism, please let me know Major.
